We went on a Saturday night around 6:45, without having made a reservation. We expected at least an hour wait. When we arrived (party of four), they said it'd be about 20 minutes for a table. We decided to wait in a booth in the bar area. Not even two minutes later, the hostess came over and told us that our table was ready! The service was impressive. Our server and busboy were polite and very attentive throughout our meal. The food was superb. Dessert was even better. I highly recommend saving room for the cannoli. It was a little pricey, but the excellent food, atmosphere and service were worth it. They also mentioned that they have coupons on their website, so we'll remember that for next time.

Well, I had high hopes but was very disappointed. Arancini app looked so golden and delicious when it arrived, but alas, still frozen in the middle. The server did remove from our bill without complaint, but we really were bummed. My scampi was good, but was swimming in a thick sauce. Spinach and salads both were fine. My other complaint is the wine glass my chianti came in. I really hate those stubby little thick glasses some places use. And you only get about 3 oz of wine. A glassware upgrade would elevate things a bit. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and very clean. Situated along a highway frontage road near hotels, I'm guessing travelers are their crowd. We were there near closing time, arriving at 840, and the place was totally empty but we did ask to be sure they were still serving. If I lived on the Illinois side I would give them one more shot based on the other reviews but we came away disappointed.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant out after passing by so many times. It was nice inside, there were plenty servers, and it was not packed. We were seated in a booth near air vents that was pretty chilly, so we asked if we could move to a booth that wasn't next to an air vent. The server did not offer to bring our waters or bread, so we awkwardly carried it ourself to the other side of the room. From there, we remained seated, with servers passing us frequently, our waters refilled twice, yet no one offering to take our drink or dinner order. Finally, after 25 minutes of waiting, we left $3 for the water and bread and we left.

The food was amazing. Service was really good as well. But the prices were way higher than what we were expecting. Everything was over $20 a plate. I feel that that's something that needs to be corrected on here. Other than not expecting to spend so much, everything was wonderful.

This was my first time here. I've driven by a million times, and finally decided to check it out when the in-laws were visiting. I ordered the Canelloni, and it was delicious. And my MIL got the Chicken Parmesan and said it was the best she's ever had in a while. Service was superb, and a nice quiet atmosphere. Great place to go for good Italian food.

We have a group of friends who get together every month at a different restaurant. Our dinner last night at Agostino's was the best yet. We ordered right different entrees and each one was exceptional. Stuffed salmon, mushroom risotto, lobster ravioli...delicious! The desserts were so amazing we took some home. (I never do that!) The servers took fantastic care of us; kept our wine glasses and bread baskets full, table cleared. The manager/owner checked on us several times and answered all our questions knowledgeably. The environment was very pleasant; unlike some noisy restaurants, we could have a conversation in a normal volume and hear everyone at the table. We so thoroughly enjoyed our meal, it was suggested that we stop hopping restaurants and just return here every month. I hope that more people will come support this restaurant. It isn't inexpensive bit it is worth the higher price. Agostino's does not disappoint.

4.5 stars. Our family of three wanted to eat out somewhere nice, but definitely not at a chain restaurant. We found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a go. It's in an odd location off the 64 freeway near several hotels. The service was excellent once our server arrived, but we waited a good long while after we were seated to place our drink orders. No big deal. The place was pretty busy. The appetizer bread was fresh and delicious. We ordered a couple of appetizers: calamari and arancinette alla carne. So good. We also tried the shrimp scampi, tilapia Italiano and lobster augustino and all were spicy and memorably delicious. The fried lobster dish was especially tasty. They also have a full bar and make excellent martinis. This no frills, down to business Italian restaurant will definitely be on our Metro East short list of excellent restaurants.

Awful food! Spaghetti unedible! Pork chops like leather! High price poor quality. I cannot believe the good reviews. My daughter had the manicotti and it was okay. My son had the lobster ravioli which he thought must have been a frozen food item. The meatballs with my spaghetti were edible but not great. The spaghetti and sauce were inedible. My husband had the center cut pork chops. They maybe we're boiled I don't know. We left hungry.

Heard some mixed things about this place and went anyway. Food was good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. I had the Cannelloni and it was very good.

Who knew I could find authentic Italian fare in Fairway Heights, IL? Per my SOP when I travel to a new town on business I fire up Yelp and perform a search for top rated restaurants near my hotel. As I arrived at my hotel (hard by route 50) I noticed all the chain restaurants littering the access road. All the usual suspects like Olive Garden, Red Lobster and so forth. Imagine my surprise when Yelp showed a 4 1/2 start rated Italian restaurant right next to my hotel. Having grown up on homemade Italian food I am very particular when it comes to Italian restaurants. It's gravy not sauce, it's pasta not noodles, and pasta is always served el dente', got it? I am extremely happy to say that Agostino's Restaurant is the real deal. As other have mentioned this is a true family owned restaurant with the owner out front greeting and checking on diners, brother is cooking, and the owners wife is the pastry chef. I ordered a salad and the linguini and calamari for dinner. I was hoping to save room for their homemade cannoli. My salad was OK with the proper amount of oil and vinegar dressing and fresh ground pepper. My calamari was molto buona! The calamari was tender, the pasta el dente', and the gravy wonderfully done with just the right amount of spice, garlic, and capers. The fresh warm rolls were perfect for sopping up the gravy. My cannoli for dessert plan was foiled by the warm rolls, next time a better plan. Service was great, I never wanted or waited for anything. The rest of the menu is pure peasant/traditional Italian as you would expect from a family owned restaurant. Every dish that passed by my table looked incredible. I realize that if you are on a budget and are taking the wife and kids out to dinner the chains are tempting budget wise. If you are on date night or here on business please go here and support this wonderful restaurant! 6 Stars!!

Just dined here for the first time and had a great experience. Service was first rate and salad, entree, and dessert was a good or better than any of the Hill restaurants we've visited. Ambiance was perfect as well. I can see this becoming a regular place for us to dine. No reason to make the trip into the city now for great Italian food.

Pretty good Italian food. Price is a tad high, but somewhat justified. Very good service and ambiance/environment. Would certainly recommend it and will return.

Holy crap. OK so I went here because it is literally in the same parking lot as the hotel (I use that term lightly - but that's another review) and... I was too lazy to drive anywhere. Let me say one thing - if you're thinking about going anywhere else in the area for Italian food - you're missing out - don't do it! Get your A$$ here... Yeah yeah the place is easily 5-8 bucks a plate higher than the chains up the street... SO??? Did you want real Italian dishes, or cookie cutter Americanized crap??? You get what you pay for. Excellent personal experience, wait staff was superb and the bartender was spot on. If you're staying in the area or live in the area - SUPPORT LOCAL PLACES LIKE THIS! otherwise they will disappear and all y'all will have left s those dammed chains..... just do it.

I have to take away a star for two things that really bothered my family. First, they charged us for sharing/splitting an appetizer. If they had let us know they would be doing this it wouldn't have been so bad, but it just appeared on the bill. The second thing that bothered us: we ordered a cheese pizza to go, because we saw people sharing a really awesome looking pepperoni pizza at the bar. The one they had was quite large with a huge blistery crust that looked like it had been brick oven baked. The one we ended up taking home looked and tasted completely different, exactly like a frozen pizza. It was much smaller than the one we saw being eaten in the restaurant, and it had the indentations/impressions of one of the more common frozen pizza brands on the underside of the soggy crust , so when we saw that we knew. Apart from this, we still like the restaurant and will go back for their pasta dishes and desserts. I think we will just avoid the pizza and be wary of extra bill charges in the future.

As good as it gets in Italian fine dining & worth the visit! Every dish is a delight! We walk in and are immediately greeted then seated. The wait staff are eager to please, check on us often, and the service is fast and excellent. The food is between $17-25 per plate on average, but that is normal & expected when eating out anywhere for dinner. The food is amazing, and the portions are huge. A little warning: the appetizers each could feed two and so could a normal salad order. If you order one for each of you expect to take home leftovers. The meal/entree portions are big but you can tell they make each one from scratch because of how it tastes. The food is five star quality! We have tried something new each time going here and it has all been sooo good. We will be coming back for more. Good for casual dining (no flip flops or shorts though), or for a dressy date night.

Last night was our first and last time there. I got the chicken spiedini and it was disgusting. I took one bite out of it and set it aside. The rest of the time I ate my side dish, butter garlic pasta I could have easily made at home, and simple rolls. When we got our check I noticed the $20 chicken spiedini on it and when I asked the waiter to take it off he left and came back to bribe me with dessert. I asked to speak with the manager who told me even though I'd literally only taken one bite of the dish he would still be charging me full price. I was disgusted with the food and the manager's lack of quality customer service as he proceeded to argue with me. I never send things back but I seriously could not eat that nasty chicken thing and the fact that he argued with me about just tasting it before I realized how gross it was and then sending back was extremely offensive.

We didn't enjoy the take out dinner we had from Agostino's. The Lasagna was too sweet, and it didn't have the layered flavors we were expecting. The tortellini was barely filled, and the white sauce was bland and runny. Our last dish was a mystery. I initially tried to order ravioli, but the person said they don't serve ravioli [PS- Online menu not updated with restaurant menu]. I then ordered penne and spicy italian sausage in a pink sauce. I got what looked like chinese steamed dumplings filled with meat, and four tiny slices of not-spicy sausage that tasted freezer burned, and it read "ravioli" on top of the container. It came with about five to six "ravioli" and average tasting sauce. Our order of food certainly could not justify what they charged us for it. I should have stuck with Mungo's.

When I gave my recommendation to Groupon I indicated that it was OK for the restaurant to respond to my assessment. It has been more than two weeks since my initial review and there has been no response from Agostino's. Their silence tells me all I need to know about the current state of Agostino's. There are many good restaurants in Fairview Heights, sadly, this is not one of them.

This is how restaurants should be run. I entered and was greeted by, I assume, the owner. Very nice gentleman and a warm greeting. I sat at the bar and the server was young and extremely professional. The entire staff was very professional and they were all young, compared to me. I asked a couple of questions about the menu and he stated that they can do whatever I want as far as any dish. I got the mushroom risotto, with a cream sauce, instead of the marinara. It was very good. The salad and bread were great as well. I had the empty salad plate and one of the servers walked by and asked if he could remove it. Another server wasn't too busy, as it was a slow evening and he was behind the bar removing the bottom portion of the paper, on the straws. I'm just sorry that I didn't come here the previous evening and went to Bella Milano's instead. I will be back tomorrow.

I stayed at a hotel in the area. I decided to order carry out and relax in my room. I rather drink my wine then spend ridiculous prices in the restaurants. Got the garlic Caesar salad and the spicy calamari pasta. It was a little pricy, but the portions were enormous with lots of bread and fresh butter. Everything was delicious. BTW when I picked up the restaurant was clean and the staff cordial. If you are staying in a local hotel, they do honor a 15% discount. I'll be back. I just can't do Applebee's type conveyor food anymore.

Ate here 4 times in last year. First 2 times was very pleased. 3rd visit a noticeable drop off in quality of food. This last time was pretty bad. Unfortunately this beautiful building and what I believe to be a devoted family business never has many people in it. So I understand that if business is not coming thru the door you have to make cuts. Well their wine list has devolved into maybe 25 wines and don't order any of the Whites.....had to send 2 different ones back that tasted like vinegar. Our main dishes were decent but the "Fresh" spinach was obviously frozen at one point and had that awful heavy lead taste to it and the steamed veggies tasted like they were soaked in formaldehyde. I won't be returning until I hear from others it changed considerably and I hope it does.

It's probably not completely fair to rate a restaurant on Valentines day, but life isn't fair. A co-worker told me about Agostinos. We drive by it all the time. It is right off 64 next to a Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Crab Shack, Bob Evans, TGI Fridays, and Houlihans. It is located in what was once a Carlos O'Kellys, and then some other short lived resturaunt. I never gave it a second look. I called around for a Valentines reservation on wednesday knowing that Friday(v-day) was going to be ugly. All of the higher profile places in STL were booked. I called Agostinos and was told they had 7:00 reservations open. Great. We got here and every other place I mentioned above was jammed packed. Agostinos was too. We were barely able to get into the door. I didn't have high hopes on our 7:00 happening. We waited few minutes to check in, were given a pager and went to the bar. 2 minutes later they had us ready. Very good. Our waiter was a young guy that needed a bit of tuning up to become a fine dining type waiter. He kept finished dishes off the table , but he didn't introduce himself when we sat, and he didn't notice empty drinks a few time until. I called him for another. The owner and another guy I assume was family were going around and coaching the wait staff. I could tell by watching him that he knew how to run a good restaurant. hopefully he can make it work. I think the place has a lot of potential. It was very nice inside. The food was great. I won't gush about every dish, but, my wife had Lobster ravioli, and I had a italian seasoned steak. I moved here from NJ so I have a pretty good idea of what a good Italian family restaurant is like. This place passed the test. Even on one of their busiest nights of the year. They are worth a try if you are on this side of the river.

Excellent food - we eat here each time we visit - food and service are "Hill-quality" with ownership that is an inviting family affair - highly recommended!!

Staff were nice. We had bruschetta for apps, cannelloni, and lobster ravioli for entrees. The only good thing we had for dinner was the appetizers! Cannelloni and raviolis were so salty.. And there were barely any lobster stuffing in my ravioli ..huge disappointment I basically paid $18 for a plate of pasta and a salty cream sauce. Never going back again

  • Karen B.

The service and food were impeccable! Real Italian food without crossing the river to the hill. My husband had the lobster ravioli and they were packed full of lobster, they definitely did not try to cut corners. I had cannelloni which was also excellent. We were too full for dessert, but maybe next time!

Ate here last night. Although the food was good, they are way over priced. Two entries, two soft drinks ran over $50. Dinners come with nothing but a small side of vegetables or pasta. I have no problem paying a few hundred dollars for a meal for two and have many, many times. Agostino's is not the Cape Cod Room at the Drake Hotel in Chicago after all. The restaurant needs updating. And please... Take the restaurant award from 1988 off the wall. It just proves that they are has-beens.

I travel throughout Southern Illinois for business. This is the ONLY restaurant that I've found in all of So. Ill. that I would rate a 5 star. Wonderful fresh grown vegetables! The romaine and artichoke salad was by far the best Italian salad I've ever eaten. If you like seafood, highly recommend the Agostino's Original Linguini Maremonte. Hope I have reason to spend the night in Fairview Heights again just so I can dine at Agostino's!

Found this locally owned restaurant via yelp, and it did not disappoint, my family and I were treated so kindly from the moment we entered, the food was amazing, I had the veal parm. All of our dishes were a good size portion. The staff kept our glasses full all night and made sure we always had warm bread. Alot of reviewers found this place pricey but good service and food is worth it. Only problem was the obnoxious large party that was seated beside us, but as soon as they disappeared it was a perfect evening meal.

We live in St Louis where there are many Italian restaurants, the meal that we had was as good or better than any I've had. I look forward to returning and trying more of their menu. I had the small house/Italian salad and the Tortellini Bolognese...fresh, hot and very good..

I think I just found the best Italian restaurant and it's not in a big city! I should have known from the wonderful aroma as soon as we walked in. From the house red to the rice balls, side salad, and the special of the day, which was stuffed tilapia with shell noodles and meat sauce everything was excellent.

I was in town visiting family and was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. Our food was fantastic and everything was definitely hand made. Including the bread and salad which each had a unique taste. The waiter was friendly and the owner thanked us before leaving. There are quite a few chain restaurants in the area that appeared to have more customers, which is really a shame. Agostino's is better hands down.

Having lived in Italy for 10 years I know a few things about Italian food. This place is a gem! If you want authentic Sicilian food then this is the place to visit. I even met the owners and spoke Italian with them. Don't leave without trying the canoli!

I really liked this restaurant. You could tell the entire staff was there to help and assist you as the customer. The food was expertly prepared and very good. The prices were a little on the high side but it was more than made up for because of the service. I would highly recommend this to anybody wanting to visit the hill without having to actually go to the hill from the Illinois side of the river.

We had our Christmas party here so my experience is limited to that and the menu we were given. We started off with toasted ravolis and bruschetta. The toasted ravs were pretty standard, good but not great. The bruschetta was good. the breaded was sufficiently toasted to keep the delivery consistent. The manager or owner who was around was very friendly and helpful. The main course was a small steak and a chicken dish. The steak was very tender and full of flavor. The chicken was good, though I'm not sure what exactly it ws called. Overall the service was good and the food was good. Since I live in St Louis and make to commute into IL every day I don't see myself coming back, but that is not because I had a bad experience.

We haven't eaten at an Italian restaurant like this in a long time. The waitstaff is very young, but well-trained. The owner keeps everyone on their toes, but he really doesn't have to focus on fine points. The waitstaff generally knows what to do and everyone seems to help each other. The food is excellent here. The desserts are very enjoyable. The wine list is quite sufficient and yes, they will suggest you order a bottle instead of by the glass since it's cheaper per glass. Just pace yourself! We had a bottle of the Buehler White Zinfandel. Very tasty. We had the Combination Appetizer. Very well done. The shrimp had a hint of garlic that really enhanced them. Salads: I had the Mozzarella Caprese. Never had a salad like that before. It was served in four sections with each section providing a slice of tomato topped with mozzarella cheese. Very well presented. My wife had the Italian Salad. She enjoyed it very much. Entrees: I had the Agnolotti Ripieno di Aragosta (lobster-stuffed ravioli). Each ravioli measure about 2 inches square with lobster. It was very tasty. Topped with a delightful cream sauce. Very satisfying, although when you first look at it, it seems unsubstantial. It is actually quite filling My wife had the Spaghetti Carbonara and really enjoyed it. The serving was very large and she brought half of it home. Dessert: I had the Cannoli. The creme inside was delicious. One addition was some orange zest which really highlighted the item. Excellent. Also served with whipped cream and a strawberry. My wife had the Cassata Cake. It is a lot like Italian Wedding Cake, but the inside filling is the same creme used for the Cannoli. Great stuff. The total bill was $106.65. This included $10.00 in sales tax, but that's the price of being a diner in Fairview Heights. Based on the price, we will save Agostino's for special occasions. Most folks dressed casually wearing jeans and sweaters. Would be a great place to take a date. We look forward to trying other items on their menu.

Wow, amazingly good! This is my 1st positive review on yelp...we need this restaurant closer to home! My daughter said there are not words to describe the awesomeness of her meal. My wife said the atmosphere is lovely, service was excellent, great attention to EVERY detail, and the food was straight from an Italian genius!

I LOVE great Italian food!! And this place is it!! This NOT Olive Garden, if that's what you want, it's down the street... If you want THE most awesome, award winning cuisine, this place is for you!!! As I looked around the room while waiting for my dinner, I noticed the walls were covered with annual awards... One my meal arrived and I took my first bite, it was blatantly obvious why they had won awards year after year for over 20 years... I started with a most wonderful Caesar salad!! Then for my entree, I had the lobster stuffed ravioli with a wine sauce... OM-Gosh.... amazing!! Hence all the awards. Finished with their special canolli, hand made on site. Waiter said it was the best, and was he ever right... it was the best I had ever tasted. It went perfect with my glass of Porte. I dined fairly early, so when I left they were just getting started with the live music for the live entertainment... what I heard was very nice!! Would make for a great night out!! All I can say is that if I lived in the area, this would be one of my regular places to dine!!

On Saturday, October 6, 2012 we attempted to have dinner at Agostino's. This was my third visit. The first visit I chose to sit in the bar and had hoped to have appetizers. They had just opened and told me that no food was served in the bar. I enjoyed a glass of wine and went to one of the other non chain Italian restaurants in the area. The second time we visited it was ok, yet as it was still fairly new we decided to wait a bit and return for a true evaluation. On Saturday night we entered at 6: 30 to 6:45 pm. We were looking forward to a great evening as we knew that they had added music on the weekends. Upon arrival we asked the ladies at the hostess desk if we could have drinks and an appetizer in the bar before going to the dining room. The bar was about 50% full. The hostess stated that the bartender told them not to seat anyone else in the bar as she was "slammed". We hesitated at that response but asked if we could get a table in the dining room. Again, we could clearly see open tables. We were then told that they could not seat anyone there either. What a shock! We were dressed appropriately, 50 something couple. After watching them remodel, place a very costly sign on the interstate, adding music you would think they would not turn anyone away when there are open seats. We then left and went down to exit 16 and enjoyed dinner at a fairly new Italian restaurant. The wait was 30 minutes but we were welcomed at the bar. With appetizers, drinks and dessert our tab was significant as it would have been at Agostino's-----if they had only welcomed us!

First time here. I travel all over and visit many highly rated stores. This store ranks at the top. The ambiance and table settings are excellent The service was excellent and way better than 4 stars I've been to recently. The menu is very focused and NOT loaded with midwestern trash food. The wine list is top notch and prices are extremely reasonable for 90+ rated wines. The seafood specials were fantastic and i ordered the pan fried Orange roughy with mushrooms and sauteed spinach with red sauce. Excellent food preparation and quality. The fish was prepared perfectly. We had our wine decanted at the table and the waiter did it better than most other stores. The cannoli was homemade and one of the best I've had. My wife had blood orange sorbet which was excellent. Fantastic coffee. Overall we had a fantastic meal and service. The live piano singer was awesome. As for John H's pathetic review of this store...well.John should to go to olive garden where you can gorge yourself on free bread and cheap salad for $10. Whatadumbass

I've been traveling to Swansea and O'Fallon for business for the past 3 years and always wanted to try Agostino's but the exterior is somewhat dim which makes the entrance not inviting. Today, thanks to Gary K's review and my craving for some good Italian dinner, I finally went and dine in. I started with the lobster bisque and oh boy that was delicious! Then I ordered the Agostinos Original Linguine Maremonte. It has every bit of pure love and authenticity of Italian cooking put on this big bowl of pasta and seafood. The sauce had every bit of perfection, delicious and savory. The portion is large (family size) too. To end it all, I had their famous heavenly Cannoli. Mmmm so scrumptious, light and truly addictive! The shell was made with just the right amount of thickness and the filling had the right amount of sweetness to it, not too sweet. Beware, you will want another! Everyone were very friendly and so hospitable. It made my night away from home, an enjoyable one. The decoration and layout inside is very much opposite of the exterior. It's so nice, warm and comfortable as it makes it perfect for any family occasion, a dinner date, or even a business luncheon or dinner. Surprisingly, prices were very comparable to Red Lobster and Olive Garden, but hands down, Agostino's has better authentic cuisines with flavors that simply makes you yearn for another visit. Their menu is pretty diverse, they have something for everyone. This is truly my favorite restaurant in this city to visit now, every time I return to O'Fallon.

I recently went to Agostino's for an anniversary dinner. Our waiter was great and the food was delicious. We ordered the simple spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parm... both were amazing! I had to knock off one star because it took several minutes to be acknowledged by the staff once we walked in the door (even though it was a slow night) as well as another several minutes to be seated. We almost walked out, but I'm glad we stayed for the meal.

As a long time resident of the area that has no really great restaurants except chains to choose from... Agostino's is a godsend for those of us who enjoy really great food! We've been there four times and each time it was wonderful! We've had the seafood pasta, chicken marsala, pizza, calamari, penne pasta with a rich hearty yet spicy red sauce and other dishes that were prepared to perfection! While we will still go to St Louis on occasion we will be often and long time patrons of this fine family owned enterprise!!! Twice we've heard a really superb guitarist/vocalist named Vince. Truly outstanding! We highly recommend! PS.. I just read John H's review. I must agree with the other reviewer saying John H is WAY WAY out of his league! Or maybe he's one of the competing restaurants near by. Either way John H is goofy as all get out and is just wrong! Also I forgot to mention the desserts! The tirimisu and chocolate coconut mousse are heavenly... the martini's are great too! So John H.. go back to Taco Bell and Fazoli's!!!

I ate here for the first time today after reading and hearing so many good things about it. Overall, I was very happy with the food, service, etc. and only a few nit-picky things which they hopefully can improve on. Pros: All three of us very VERY happy with our food. Great preparation, presentation, sauces were excellent. I had the Land & Sea, the others had the beef speidini and a veal dish - all were top notch. Service was great, very attentive, waiter was very familiar with the dishes when we questioned him and helped us make good selections. A gastronomic delight all around. Cons: Serve butter with the bread instead of dipping oil. The bread is very good and I would have loved some nice basil infused olive oil to flavor it. But unfortunately, the thing I will always remember about my first time here is that when we were seated, there was a speaker above us BLARING 90's rock music. In an upscale, authentic Italian restaurant???? I asked them to turn it down and they did. But it was still loud and incredibly annoying. Get a clue guys and download some Italian folk music or Frank Sinatra or something and plug it into your sound system. Even the plastic Italian food chains have this part figured out.

Ordered take-out on Christmas Eve at about 8pm and was treated like family. The food was authentic and delicious as well!!! Can't wait to go back.

This place is Awesome! True sicilian cooking. Nothing like this place anywhere on this side of the river. Obviously JH is WAY out his league.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
